TIME REPORTED: June 29, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. ACRES BURNED: Approximately 25 - 30 acres RESOURCES: There are currently 1 engine, 1 Type I crew, 1 Type II helicopter, 1 air attack, a lead plane, 3 heavy air tankers, and overhead personnel totaling approximately 40 people. LAND STATUS: Bureau of Land Management (BLM) VEGETATION: Brush, pinion, juniper, and sporadic pines WEATHER: Temperatures between 95 – 103 degrees with humidity at 7 – 12%. Winds will be southwest at 10 mph. There is also a chance of lightning this afternoon. RESOURCES AND STRUCTURES THREATENED: Communication sites on the west side of Dean’s Peak are a concern at this time. CONTAINMENT: No containment at this time.
